Glendale Coin Club 2000 Holiday Party Photos

Please be patient while the pictures load...

Hey, we have a lot of fun at our coin club meetings! As documented legal evidence of this (presentable in any court in the land) we include the following photos from our December 2000 meeting. Meet our members, and see what fun we had at our Holiday Party! It was a hoot...perhaps you can join our ranks and party with us at the Year 2001 Holiday Party.

Joe Purnell as Santa (he doesn't need a false beard or anything) and Mary Purnell as Mrs. Claus, seem to approve of the buffet expertise of the Billy's Delicatessen catering platters. Behind the counter, tireless elves (left to right) Dorsille Fritcher, Jerry and Mary Yahalom, oversee the preparations for the evening festivities. Wow!, Joe and Mary's costumes were fantastic, weren't they?  Santa and Mrs. Claus seem to approve of the party fare...
What a glorious cake! Time to dig in and eat... This was the glorious dessert we all enjoyed. What a treat this moist, rich, delicious, black forest cake was. Do you think you'd like to come to our next Holiday Party and try a piece for yourself?
Wow, Lisa brings out the big ROCK for the evening glamour. This big stone is probably worth six or seven million dollars, and I think Brink's has a full time guard assigned to it. Either that or it's simply a large piece of glass that we joke about...you decide. What a ROCK! Lisa seems pretty pleased with her ring...
The three wise men... The three wise men, or is it wise guys?... From left to right, Kamar Hussain, Tom Redmond, and Viesturs Zagars, seem to ponder the imponderable.
Tom Redmond and Jerry Yahalom seem to be begging Santa (Joe Purnell) for some special treats for the holiday season. I'll bet Joe's knees were doing some begging of their own... Watch out, Joe...that's a heavy load you're carrying...
...and the rush is on! ...and the rush is on! We had a wild flurry of activity while folks piled the goodies on high. The platters from Billy's are always loaded with terrific cuts of meats, delicious breads, fresh condiments, salads and cheeses... no wonder this annual event is always so popular!
Mary Purnell, Viesturs Zagars, and young Kim Klein stop perusing the goodies just long enough to pose for this shot. What a great group all these folks are...
The eating has started... We all sat down to a warm, friendly meal. It was pretty quiet at the beginning, but soon the simple sounds of dinnerware and munching gave way to chatter and gabbing as we all enjoyed each other's company. What a great group of people!
Joyce Allen (foreground) pokes at a piece of cake, while the Klein/Keshishyan clan smiles for us. From left to right they are: Sonia, Denise, Jerry, Greg, and Catarina. The Klein/Keshishyan clan...
The nefarious Coin-O machine... Here's the nefarious Coin-O machine (you'll probably want to call it a bingo machine, but please resist the temptation). We had this poor thing clinking and clonking all night long. Actually, we just played four or five games, but they sure were fun. Lots of whooping and hollering as the balls came up...
New member Ian Crandall joined over the internet (just like you can...click here) and won two games, and a silver eagle coin for each one. Ian Crandall was a big winner...
Member Mark Watson also won big... Another new member, Mark Watson, also joined over the internet and won the grand 50/50 prize of $35. Watch out, Mark, don't let Mary Yahalom pick your pocket!
